I cant believe I am writing this already….where have the last 10 months gone? It only feels like yesterday we were bringing her home from the hospital and enduring those horrible long sleepless nights, the ones where you try and be grateful that you have a healthy baby, but cant help but feel angry that you are so sleep deprived!
This month we had the Easter Holidays and lots of lovely warm sunny weather so we managed to get out and about quite a bit. Ruby has learnt to walk with her walker, she stands for a couple of minutes without support and she can take a couple of steps when the mood takes her. She is into EVERYTHING – the dog food, the dogs water, the stairs, cupboards anything she can reach is hers and she throws a strop when we take it away. She definitely has an attitude, can’t possibly think where she gets it from! She is eating anything and everything especially if its on Daddy’s plate, food always looks and tastes nicer from someone else’s plate doesn’t it?!
She can finally say ‘Mama’ and ‘Mum’ but still prefers to say ‘Dada’ 🙂 and she can also say ‘Fish’ or ‘Ish’ which we know means fish. She learnt this from being obsessed with my mums massive tropical fish tank! She seems to think all animals are Fish, including our dog, Mums Dog, and the rats at work!
She has settled in well with our Childminder – Hayley and seems to be enjoying her time there, probably because Hayley takes her to the farm and to soft play and does lots of fun things that doesn’t include laundry and housework! I am so relived to know that she is happy, even if I’m not while I am at work!!
We even managed to sneak away for a child free weekend thanks for my lovely in-laws and sister-in-law for looking after Ruby for us (more on that in my next post!)
Looking forward to seeing what Month 11 brings…I predict walking and causing more havoc!
